Co-Director of Advocacy

Ashlee Jaffe, MD, MEd is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She received her BS in Bioengineering at the University of California, San Diego and her MD from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. Dr. Jaffe received a Masters in Medical Education: Curriculum and Instruction and a Masters Certificate in Clinical & Translational Research at the University of Cincinnati, in addition to a Masters Certificate in Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Jaffe completed her internship in pediatrics at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, her residency training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, and her fellowship in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Jaffe has a passion for clinical informatics, quality improvement, medical education, and advocacy.

Dr. Jaffe is a dedicated pediatric physiatrist who has devoted her career to caring for children with physical disabilities, often focusing on those affected by firearm-related injuries, including traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries. Her life took a transformative turn on July 4, 2022, when she became a victim of gun violence herself. Drawing from her personal experience as both a clinician and a survivor, Dr. Jaffe now passionately advocates for change. She is also Stop the Bleed certified and actively trains community members, empowering both children and adults to respond effectively in bleeding emergencies.
